Sustainable Practices
Ethical, eco-friendly sourcing that protects natural resources.
We would rather describe what we actually changed than make a broad sustainability claim.
Water
The biggest single change across the partner network was moving from calendar-based irrigation to soil-moisture-led scheduling. Growers irrigate when the soil needs it. On paddy in particular, this is where most of the saving comes from.
Inputs
Our destination markets have residue limits to meet, so tightening the input protocol was driven by market access as much as by environmental concern. Both reasons point the same way.
Traceability
Because every lot carries its grower reference, a claim about how something was grown can be checked back to the farm rather than asserted at brochure level.
What we do not claim
We are not carbon neutral and we do not describe ourselves that way. Long-haul sea freight is a material footprint and saying otherwise would not be honest.
